Based on 2 years of donation data at Click & Pledge, we see that those with numbers in their email addresses, like John, vote more Republican than Democrat. The following graph shows the normalized data for each email provider. Using this approach, it is easy to see which email domain has donated most to each party.
As the graph below illustrates, those with numbers in their email donate 20% more to Republicans than Democrats.
Based on the above graph, the Republican Party has received the most donations for each of the listed domains. For example, AOL shows a value of 100% for the Republican Party for all donations given relative to donations given to other parties. Same is true for Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail.Next we need to look at the portion of the email which most likely is the first name of the person.
